Environmental and Stewardship Schemes

Southern England is littered with SSSIs, SACs, SPAs and other European, national and local environmental designations. The most recent of these is the new South Downs National Park stretching across parts of Hampshire, West Sussex and East Sussex. We advise clients on all these and the effect of designation and how it impacts on their ongoing management.

As well as advising on the effects and opportunities of these designations, BCM also advise on the many opportunities available through the environmental stewardship schemes, including Entry Level, Organic Entry Level and Higher Level Stewardship. BCM also strongly support the important benefits advocated by the Campaign for the Farmed Environment to retain and exceed the benefits that used to be provided by set aside.
